What can I say about Monica?  It's always an adventure.  Behind this semi-serious look is a laugh waiting to burst out.

This lovely model with her swan-like neck and elegance only lasted two sessions due to personal complications. Would have loved completing the painting.

Figure painting in progress.  Wonderful model and nice guy. After my initial quick line sketch I started applying the paint. Very cool skin color in this lighting, I placed the light way above the figure to get some dramatic shadows. I usually work the entire canvas simultaneously but I got caught up in this great face so I'm working my way down and will add some final touches to the head as I go along.

Every now and then I get into my baking mode and treat myself to a decadent dessert .  Learned how to bake at a young age watching my mom bake everything under the sun.  This bundt cake came out so moist and luscious I couldnt wait to get a bite of it. But I resisted the urge till after I painted it.  Since a friend came over a few days before with a container of ice cream I figured I might as well go all the way and add a dollop.  Although I cant offer you the cake I can offer you the painting.
